Sports Day at The Tree House Playgroup and Nursery
Sports Day at The Tree House Nursery and Playgroup is an
energetic and fun-filled event that encourages physical activity, teamwork, and
sportsmanship among our young learners. It’s a day dedicated to outdoor play, where children
participate in a variety of age-appropriate games and activities designed to promote
physical development, coordination, and healthy competition. Sports Day is not just about
winning; it's about participation, effort, and enjoying the spirit of play.
Key Activities:
1. Opening Ceremony
- The event kicks off with a cheerful opening
ceremony where children gather with their classes, and the teachers lead them in a fun
warm-up session to get everyone excited and ready for the activities.
- A group photo will be taken to capture the start
of this special day..
2. Races and Relays
- Running Races: Simple running races where
children can sprint to the finish line.
- Hopping Races: Children hop to the finish line
in a fun and bouncy race.

beanbag to their teammates in a coordinated relay race.
3. Obstacle Course
- A kid-friendly obstacle course that includes
crawling under tunnels, jumping over small hurdles, balancing on beams, and zig-zagging
around cones.
- Children will be encouraged to complete the
course at their own pace, focusing on fun rather than competition.
4. Ball Games
- Toss the Ball: A game where children toss balls
into hoops or baskets, improving their hand-eye coordination.
- Soccer Dribble: A simple activity where children
dribble a soccer ball around cones to develop their ball-handling skills.

in large sacks, creating lots of giggles and excitement.
- Egg and Spoon Race: Balancing an "egg" (often a
plastic ball) on a spoon, children carefully walk to the finish line without dropping
it.
