Welcome Day at The Tree House Playgroup and Nursery
Welcome Day at The Tree House Playgroup and Nursery is a special
event designed to help parents and children transition smoothly into our nurturing learning
environment. This day provides an opportunity for families to explore our facilities, meet
the teaching staff, and learn about the various programs and activities we offer. It's a day
of fun, excitement, and learning, setting the tone for a wonderful year ahead.
Key Activities:
1. Meet & Greet
- Parents and children will have the chance to
meet the teachers and staff who will be guiding the little ones throughout the year.
- Informal introductions to other parents and
children to help build a sense of community.
2. Guided Tour
- A guided tour of the nursery and playgroup
facilities, including classrooms, play areas, and outdoor spaces.
- Introduction to the different learning corners
such as the reading nook, art station, and sensory play area.
3. Interactive Sessions
- Short, engaging activities where children can
explore toys, books, and other educational materials.
- Mini sessions where parents can observe how a
typical day in the nursery will unfold, from circle time to snack time.
4. Orientation Session
- A brief orientation for parents outlining the
school’s curriculum, daily routines, and the importance of early childhood development.
- Information on health and safety protocols, meal
plans, and communication channels between parents and the school.
5. Welcome Kit Distribution
- Each child will receive a Welcome Kit containing
essential items like a school bag, a name tag, and a starter pack of art supplies.
- Parents will receive a Welcome Handbook with all
the necessary information about the school, including contact details, policies, and a
yearly event calendar.
